Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Palette

Urban Decay has always been one of the luxury brands that i've dreamed of owning products from. With all of the time I spend watching YouTube videos on makeup i've come to realize what quality products the company produces. That's why when I saw that the UD | GWEN STEFANI palette was on sale for only $25 I knew I had to run to my local Ulta and get myself one.

The palette originally was released for a retail price of $58 and was released on November 22, 2015. I had seen a few reviews of the palette when it was first released but didn't plan on paying that much. Even though I love makeup I still can't justify some of the price tags that come with the higher end products.

That's why I was so excited when I saw that the everything from the Urban Decay and Gwen Stefani collaboration had gone on sale. I also knew that the items would be snatched up quickly because they were being sold as such a great price. Luckily I was able to get to Ulta before they ran out!

The palette features 15 shades that are surprisingly perfect for everyday wear. When thinking about Gwen Stefani I tend to think about more dramatic makeup looks. Of course there are some colors in here that are a little out of my comfort zone {that pink and blue} but the majority of colors are quite neutral. The pigmentation is wonderful and all of the shadows {even the mattes!} are soft and buttery. There is only one shadow in the entire palette that I am not impressed with, Pop, because it is so glittery that there is very little color pigmentation and a lot of fallout.

Lately i've been using this palette every single day and can get such a beautiful look using only shades from here! I start with Anaheim in the crease and then deepen the outer corner up with a little bit of Zone. To add some shine to the look I put Baby all over the lid and then use Skimp as a brow and inner corner highlight. It's so easy yet looks so wonderful.

While the palette is now sold out at Ulta you can still get it from Sephora and the Urban Decay website. It's well worth $25 and I would highly recommend it! Plus you even get a nice little sampler of four of the lipsticks that came out with the Gwen Stefani collaboration. It was a nice surprise to find inside of the box.

Do you have this palette? If so what is your go-to look when you use it?

Get Productive With The Plan Better Live Better Planner

I'm super excited to talk about a new planner that I’ve recently been using to keep my life as organized as possible. Emily of Honeybee Joyous created the Live Better Plan Better Planner which launches today! It’s a printable planner that features over 158 pages and runs from August 2016 to July 2017.

I have never used a printable planner before and I love how it gives you the freedom to get exactly what you need. If you only use a planner during the school year you can save the extra paper and only print the months necessary. That way when you get the pages bound or put them in a binder you have exactly what you need and don’t have to carry around pages that you will never end up using.

I can be quite picky when it comes to planners because I need to have the proper layout and a decent amount of room to keep track of everything that goes on in a week or month. Emily did a wonderful job with the monthly and weekly layouts. The planner features two pages at the beginning of each month that feature the monthly spread. This is the page I use to keep track of deadlines, appointments, and birthdays. I try only to write the important stuff here so that it does not become too overwhelming. After that there are weekly spreads for the entire month. These pages feature long columns for each day of the week and I’m happy to say there is plenty of room to write everything down!

Along with pages that feature monthly and weekly spreads there are some great additional sections. The Live Better Plan Better Planner features areas to write down "This Week's Top Five" and "Don't Forget" each week as well as separate pages for monthly reflections and a monthly financial tracker. At the end there is a page that provides the year at a glance which I think is perfect for keeping track of your friends and families birthdays. Finally there is a sheet for important addresses and phone numbers. I always find this section useful for when I need to gather phone numbers and email addresses for group projects that occur during the school year.

What I’m most excited for with this planner is the financial tracker. I’ve never had a planner with this feature and I’m really excited to try it out! One thing I’ve been working on recently is saving my money {and stop spending it all on clothes and food…} so I’m sure this will help me realize where my money is going.

Since the planner doesn't start until August I haven't been able to use it yet, but i'm already starting to fill out some future blog posts. I think this will be the perfect planner to use for keeping track of all things related to In An Organized Fashion.

If you would like to purchase your own Plan Better Live Better planner you can do so here for only $25! Not only is it a great planner but it’s created by an even better blogger. It’s always nice to support fellow bloggers/entrepreneurs and see them succeed!

Wishful Wednesday: Soludos

A few days ago I saw this amazing pair of shoes at a local boutique. After taking note of the brand I immediately ran home and started looking through their amazing collection of espadrilles and sandals. Needless to say I knew right away what this weeks Wishful Wednesday post would be on. The Solids brand creates shoes that are all so effortless yet chic at the same time, plus they are perfect for the summer months!

These are the ones that started it all! Quite honestly they are probably still my favorite pair from the
brand. The sand color makes them perfect for so many different outfits. Add them to all black for a quirky touch or use them to dress down a summer dress.

I've always been a huge fan of denim but lately i've found myself liking it in more unconventional ways, like these shoes! They're the perfect way to add some color and interest to an outfit. I would love to wear these with an all-white outfit!

The platform of this espadrille is perfect for this laser cutout style slipper. It adds the extra height that makes this shoe look similar to the popular slip on sneakers that have been popular lately. It's a nice summery way to try the trend out.

Platinum Slides.... need I say more? These are the perfect everyday shoe! The platinum allows them to work with virtually every outfit- all white, all black, and every color in-between.

Lace up and tassels... what more could you want in a sandal? I love the detailing on the thick leather strap because it helps add some additional color into the look. They would go perfect paired with a nice airy summer dress.

Again with the tassels! I like how simple and understated this pair is. There isn't too much going on yet the sandal still captures your attention. I could see this easily becoming a pair of shoes that I would wear numerous times throughout the summer.

Lately i've been loving the look of wedges, and these ones are just too cute! With the white lace and the tie up ribbon they are so feminine and could easily dress up a summer outfit. I would love to wear these to the Saratoga Race Track with an adorable sundress!

Last but not least we have these great smoking slippers! I love the adorable pictures and sayings that Soludo's puts on some of their shoes. This Oui Non combination is so cute and I love the navy color of the shoe.

Blushing Beauty With Influenster

Whenever I receive a VoxBox in the mail it is reminiscent of Christmas! You never know what fun goodies are going to be inside that wonderful pink box. A few weeks ago I got the Blush VoxBox and I have finally tested everything out enough to give a full review of everything.

The first thing in the box was the Pantene Expert Intense Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner. This duo is from their Pro-V line and features a formula that emphasizes hydration. This is the second time I've received Pantene products from Influenster and once again I am so happy with them. Since trying out the Pantene brand a bit more I have found myself really enjoying their products. Everything is amazing quality at an affordable price and has such a fresh and clean scent. This particular pair is just as hydrating as the bottles claimed. Since using this shampoo and conditioner my hair has felt and looked better.

Is it weird that my favorite thing from this box might just be a deodorant? The Secret Clinical Strength Clear Gel in Ooh La La Lavendar not only smells amazing but it performs just as good. After a nine hour work day in 90+ degree I still found myself feeling fresh thanks to this product. While I do really enjoy this I've been trying not to use it everyday because it is clinical strength, but it's perfect for those days when you need a little extra something.

Even with my interest in all things beauty and makeup I have never actually worn a strip of false eyelashes before. I've gone through quite a few of the Ardell Individul Lashes, but I was slightly intimidated when I saw these. My biggest concern was that they would look ridiculously unnatural or worse that they would start to fall off halfway through the day. After trying them on though I was quite impressed! While they were still much more dramatic than my {tiny} natural lashes they were not too over the top. I can't wait to pull these out again for an event or a fun night out.

The Simple Micelar Makeup Wipes were something that I'm sad to say I am not a huge fan of. I had tried these once before and thought that I may have just gotten a bad pack. After trying this pack out I've decided that the wipes just are not as moist as other makeup wipe brands. This made it hard to take off my makeup at the end of the night without rubbing at my eyes a lot {and I don't even wear waterproof makeup}. I did really like how clean they made my skin feel though, so I could see myself using them to clean and freshen up my face after a workout.

The box also came with a card from PerfectDetails.com and allowed you to get 15% off your order using the code perfect15. I will probably never get around to using this because the prices are a bit out of my budget. However it was still fun and I scroll through their website and see the beautiful pieces they carry. Overall I would say it was a very successful Blush VoxBox! I'd also like to give a special thanks to my little sister, Jenna! She helped me take pictures of all of these items and I think she did a fantastic job.

**I received all products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions are my own**

I am super excited about this months recap and goals because it is the first one I will be doing in my first blogging collab ever! Angela of The Clutter Box Blog and Jazmine of Fairy Lights and Dreams created a Monthly Goal Collaboration and I am so grateful to be one of the bloggers contributing this month. Now onto the recap of last month and my future blogging goals!

In my June goals I had set 9 goals for myself. While I only met four of them, I'm still happy with my progress! I spent a lot of time this month focusing on Twitter and Pinterest, which is probably why I was able to achieve the goals I set in those particular areas. Instagram has been a challenge for me because I always forget to post or feel like I never have any good pictures to put up! I'll definitely be working in that platform a lot for the month of July.

Setting my page views goal to 500 was a bit of a stretch, and I knew that when I set the goal at the beginning of the month. I reached 397 which is a great number in my mind! I keep having to remind myself that I'm new to the blogging world {it hasn't even been 6 months} so it is okay that my numbers are relatively low.

As part of the collab we are also discussing our highs and lows for the previous month. For June my high was being part of my first #BloggingCollege twitter chat! I've never been part of a twitter chat before and it was a lot of fun. There were so many other amazing bloggers that I was able to connect with and I am already looking forward to the next one. My low was probably the fact that I didn't get around to posting as much content as I had hoped. I'm blaming this on the fact that I didn't stick to my goal of creating an editorial calendar. Once I do this I think I will be able to really stick to a strong schedule and consistently get some great posts out!
