Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Palette

Urban Decay has always been one of the luxury brands that i've dreamed of owning products from. With all of the time I spend watching YouTube videos on makeup i've come to realize what quality products the company produces. That's why when I saw that the UD | GWEN STEFANI palette was on sale for only $25 I knew I had to run to my local Ulta and get myself one.

The palette originally was released for a retail price of $58 and was released on November 22, 2015. I had seen a few reviews of the palette when it was first released but didn't plan on paying that much. Even though I love makeup I still can't justify some of the price tags that come with the higher end products.

That's why I was so excited when I saw that the everything from the Urban Decay and Gwen Stefani collaboration had gone on sale. I also knew that the items would be snatched up quickly because they were being sold as such a great price. Luckily I was able to get to Ulta before they ran out!

The palette features 15 shades that are surprisingly perfect for everyday wear. When thinking about Gwen Stefani I tend to think about more dramatic makeup looks. Of course there are some colors in here that are a little out of my comfort zone {that pink and blue} but the majority of colors are quite neutral. The pigmentation is wonderful and all of the shadows {even the mattes!} are soft and buttery. There is only one shadow in the entire palette that I am not impressed with, Pop, because it is so glittery that there is very little color pigmentation and a lot of fallout.

Lately i've been using this palette every single day and can get such a beautiful look using only shades from here! I start with Anaheim in the crease and then deepen the outer corner up with a little bit of Zone. To add some shine to the look I put Baby all over the lid and then use Skimp as a brow and inner corner highlight. It's so easy yet looks so wonderful.

While the palette is now sold out at Ulta you can still get it from Sephora and the Urban Decay website. It's well worth $25 and I would highly recommend it! Plus you even get a nice little sampler of four of the lipsticks that came out with the Gwen Stefani collaboration. It was a nice surprise to find inside of the box.

Do you have this palette? If so what is your go-to look when you use it?

Blushing Beauty With Influenster

Whenever I receive a VoxBox in the mail it is reminiscent of Christmas! You never know what fun goodies are going to be inside that wonderful pink box. A few weeks ago I got the Blush VoxBox and I have finally tested everything out enough to give a full review of everything.

The first thing in the box was the Pantene Expert Intense Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner. This duo is from their Pro-V line and features a formula that emphasizes hydration. This is the second time I've received Pantene products from Influenster and once again I am so happy with them. Since trying out the Pantene brand a bit more I have found myself really enjoying their products. Everything is amazing quality at an affordable price and has such a fresh and clean scent. This particular pair is just as hydrating as the bottles claimed. Since using this shampoo and conditioner my hair has felt and looked better.

Is it weird that my favorite thing from this box might just be a deodorant? The Secret Clinical Strength Clear Gel in Ooh La La Lavendar not only smells amazing but it performs just as good. After a nine hour work day in 90+ degree I still found myself feeling fresh thanks to this product. While I do really enjoy this I've been trying not to use it everyday because it is clinical strength, but it's perfect for those days when you need a little extra something.

Even with my interest in all things beauty and makeup I have never actually worn a strip of false eyelashes before. I've gone through quite a few of the Ardell Individul Lashes, but I was slightly intimidated when I saw these. My biggest concern was that they would look ridiculously unnatural or worse that they would start to fall off halfway through the day. After trying them on though I was quite impressed! While they were still much more dramatic than my {tiny} natural lashes they were not too over the top. I can't wait to pull these out again for an event or a fun night out.

The Simple Micelar Makeup Wipes were something that I'm sad to say I am not a huge fan of. I had tried these once before and thought that I may have just gotten a bad pack. After trying this pack out I've decided that the wipes just are not as moist as other makeup wipe brands. This made it hard to take off my makeup at the end of the night without rubbing at my eyes a lot {and I don't even wear waterproof makeup}. I did really like how clean they made my skin feel though, so I could see myself using them to clean and freshen up my face after a workout.

The box also came with a card from PerfectDetails.com and allowed you to get 15% off your order using the code perfect15. I will probably never get around to using this because the prices are a bit out of my budget. However it was still fun and I scroll through their website and see the beautiful pieces they carry. Overall I would say it was a very successful Blush VoxBox! I'd also like to give a special thanks to my little sister, Jenna! She helped me take pictures of all of these items and I think she did a fantastic job.

We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do!

I recently posted about the PANTENE VOXBOX I received from Influenster. Not long after I got word that I would also be receiving the Spirit VoxBox as well! This was an exciting box because it featured fun products from 4 different brands.

The first thing I saw when I opened this up was a sampler with two different types of Yogi Tea. The two flavors I received were the Green Tea Kombucha, which supports immune and digestive functions, and Green Tea Blueberry Slim Life, which energizes and supports a dieting program. The card that comes with the two teabags also has a $1 off coupon for a purchase of any box of Yogi Tea. I've tried the Green Tea Kombachua since I opening this box and it was quite yummy! Each tea bag also has a cute little quote or saying on it, such a cute little detail!

Next up in my box was a Snicker's Crisper Bar! This was really exciting for me because I love chocolate {and sweets in general} but try not to keep them in my apartment. This package contains two squares of crisp rice, milk chocolate, caramel, and peanuts. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water!

There were three deluxe sized on-the-go wipette's from Sweet Spot Labs. They are 98% natural and made by women, for women. The three scents that I received my box are Grapefruit Verbena, Neroli Mandarin,  and Vanilla Blossom. These are a really handy product for them to include in these boxes, yet they are not something that I am likely to use. I will probably see if my mom wants them, because they are a very convenient thing to keep in your purse.

The last thing was probably what I was most surprised to find in the box. It was a full-sized Lovatics by Demi Lovato Lip and Cheek Tint by NYC in the color Cheeky Pink. I'm a huge fan of NYC products and I had recently seen a few reviews of these new tints that were released. I have to practice using this on my cheeks a bit more, because it tends to dry fairly fast after applying. However I really enjoy the color I get when I apply this to my lips. The only downsides are that you need to exfoliate your lips before applying otherwise the product accentuates any dry patches on your lips and the product is practically impossible to get off of your fingers because it's a stain.

This was a great VoxBox to receive and I am so excited by everything i've gotten to try out. If you haven't already signed up for Influenster you should consider it. Not only do you have the opportunity to possibly receive future VoxBox's, but they also have reviews on over 1 million products on their website! It's a great resource to look at for future purchases.

Smoother Strands With Pantene!

I am super excited to say that I received my first VoxBox from Influenster recently! For those of you who don't know about Influenster it is "a community of over 1.5 million social savvy shoppers that: stay on top of the latest product news & expert tips, review products and share honest opinions with brands and the community, and test products for free based on social media influence".

I have seen plenty of Influenster reviews on YouTube thanks to the many beauty guru's I follow. After watching their reviews I would think about how fun it would be to receive my own VoxBox. After I started this blog I decided to bite the bullet and sign up Influenster. I love trying beauty products and writing reviews is something that I would like to post on my blog. Not long after signing up I received an email that I was chosen to receive the Pantene VoxBox.

When I first opened my box I was really excited that I had received a deep conditioner to try out. I've always been curious to try one and had even been looking into purchasing something similar. The product I received through my Influenster VoxBox is the Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Smooth and Sleek Deep Conditioner. It claims to be a miracle conditioner for those with frizzy strands. I personally struggle with lots of frizz and fly-away baby hairs so I felt like this product was going to be a perfect fit for me.

I've used this product about 5 times since receiving it and have to say that I actually notice a difference! I use this every time that I wash my hair, which is every 2-3 days. I apply it at the tips of my hair as the directions say, but I only work the product up about 3/4 of the way up my hair. I try and keep conditioner away from my roots because I have extremely oily hair. I've noticed that when I apply conditioner to my roots my hair gets greasy within a few hours. All you do after applying it is wait three minutes and then wash the product out. Once my hair has dried after using this my hair is so soft. I've never used a conditioner that made such a difference in the texture of my hair.

Overall I am very happy with this product and I plan on using it all up! I may even repurchase it instead of buying a regular conditioner from now on {bonus: this product is only $4.99 at Target}. I'm not normally one to spend a lot of money on hair products, I would much rather spend my money on makeup related items, however I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who has hair similar to mine.
